What moves a school timeline
- Site conditions — poor soils and wet springs (Saint Noel-Chabanel, Anne J. MacArthur) add weeks before the slab is poured.
- Start date — a mid-winter start means foundations under heat and hoarding.
- Procurement — long-lead mechanical, structural and envelope packages ordered against tender drawings, not shop drawings.
- Repeat designs — change requests stay low when the design has been built before.
- The opening date — a September open is fixed; everything is planned backward from it.
